MEET: Woodford County Invitational (WCI)

FEE:

$75 per high school Varsity team (boys and girls separate), $75 per Reserve Team (boys and girls separate), $15 per individual. (5 or more individuals qualify for team pricing)

$60 per Middle School team grades 6-8 and under (boys and girls separate), $12 per individual. (5 or more individuals qualify for team pricing)

$50 per elementary team grades 5 and under (boys and girls separate). $10 per individual. (5 or more individuals qualify for team pricing)

Team Special of maximum $200.

LOCATION: Woodford County Park, also known as Falling Springs Arts & Recreational Center 275 Beasley Road, Versailles, KY 40383-8831

ADMISSION: Tickets will be purchased only through GoFan.com.

Adults: $8.00, Students: $5.00 Children 10 & Under: Free 

All spectators must enter the meet venue through Huffman Pavilion. 

Entries made through KyMilesplit will be accepted through August 26th at 11:00 PM.

To compete in this event athletes must race with the school team they attend (per KHSAA guidelines). 

AWARDS:

Varsity Races: There will be trophies awarded to the top three boys and girls teams. The top 15 runners from each division will receive a medal.

High School Reserve Races: Due to the small number of Junior Varsity runners registered, there will be no High School Reserve Race. All High School Runners will compete in the Varsity division.

Middle School Championship Races Grades 6-8: There will be trophies awarded to the top three boys and girls teams. The top 15 runners from each division will receive a medal.

Middle School Reserve Races: No awards will be given for the Reserve Races

Elementary Championship races grades K-5: There will be trophies awarded to the top three boys and girls teams. The top 15 runners from each division will receive a medal.

Elementary Reserve races grades 3-5: The top 15 runners from each division will receive a medal.

Elementary Reserve races grades K-2: The top 15 runners from each division will receive a medal.

Awards Presentations: Individual Awards will be handed out in the chute, team trophies will be handed out upon receiving results.

10:20 AM Girls Middle School Championship 3K (4th-8th grade, 10 entries per team)

10:55 AM Boys Middle School Championship 3K (4th-8th grade, 10 entries per team)

11:30 AM Boys/Girls Middle School Reserve 3K (unlimited entries)

12:05 PM Girls Elementary Championship 2K (5th grade and below, 10 entries per team)

12:35 PM Boys Elementary Championship 2K (5th grade and below, 10 entries per team)

1:05 PM Boys and Girls Combined Elementary Reserve 2K (3rd grade - 5th grade, unlimited entries)

1:35 PM Boys and Girls Combined Elementary 2K (Grades K-2, unlimited entries)

DISTANCE:

Elementary Grades 2 and under- 2K

Elementary Grades 5 and under- 2K

Middle school- 3K

Varsity and Reserve- 5K

TEAM LIMITS: A limit of 10 runners in HS Varsity and Elementary 3-5 Championship Races, unlimited entries in every other race. You may enter more than one Varsity team with price paid, but box limitations may apply. Only one race per runner.

MEETING: There will not be an official coaches meeting. If you have any questions, please see the meet official or the meet director, Adam Swingle, located at the Start/Finish Line area.

UNIFORM: For varsity the KHSAA uniform rule will be enforced. For middle school and elementary runners it is a little more relaxed, but try to have uniforms as similar as possible.

Concessions: A full complement of concessions will be available at the meet.

***Please keep runners and spectators away from the railroad tracks (Bluegrass Railroad Museum)***

We invite all spectators to watch the races at various areas along and near the course. Please remind your parents/fans and other non-competing athletes to be aware of their presence while cheering the runners and not to impede any runner from any team. Only runners and coaches will be permitted at the start line area, parents and spectators must remain behind the finish line area for the start and finish of each race.
