One of our objectives at Martha Layne Collins High School is to put the Oomph! back into Track & Field.  So, we will host a late season relay meet, the  Bojangles Bullskin Relays.  This meet is named in honor of the major creek that runs through Western Shelby County near Collins.  Teams invited to this invitational will be within a reasonable proximity of Bullskin Creek. This meet will provide a unique opportunity for neighboring schools to have their athletes experience a relay-style meet late in the season.

This is one of the only high school meets in Kentucky this year with a major corporate sponsor. Bojangles will be our sponsor and will provide items at concessions, as well as for coaches.

At this point in the season athletes are trying to improve their marks.  So, we are just substituting a couple of relays (4 X 1600 & SMR) for the standard relays.  We are separating the field events from the running events on the meet schedule.  This will make it better for the athletes, coaches and spectators by allowing them to focus more with less going on at once.  There will be a special trophy award for the winners of both the boys and girls 4 X 100 relay - The Avery Farmer Memorial 4 X 100.  This event is named in honor of former student Avery Farmer who ran on the Collins 4 X 100 and lost his life before he could graduate.  We are planning to have a USATF Official at each event.

Entries: Teams may enter two athletes in the running and field events and one team in the relays.   Athletes may not compete in more than four total events (including relays).  Entries are due by 5/7/24 at 11:59 PM.  Note in the throws and horizontal field events, the Meet Director reserves the right to implement a "minimum mark" based on the number of competitors.  Athletes will get at least one measurement (assuming the mark is legal) even if it does not meet the minimum mark.

Entry Fees: Team entry fees are listed on the table below (i.e., get your payment in early as fees rise as time goes on).  To encourage early payments, please pay the amount corresponding to the due dates below.
