City County Meet Information-September 28, 2023
Meet Info: Daviess County Middle School will host the City-County meet on Thursday, September 28. This meet is only open to Middle School Cross Country teams in the Owensboro/Daviess County area.
Entry Fees: The Cost is $35 per team. Boys and Girls are considered two separate teams and will be charged $35 each. Please have your money/purchase order ready when you arrive at the check in table before getting your envelope of materials.
Race Location/Distance: Race Distance will be a 4K held at Yellow Creek Park - 5710 Hwy. 144 Owensboro KY 42303. Athletes will run an inner loop, an upper loop, and one outer loop.
Awards: Trophies will be awarded to the top 2 teams and top 14 individuals. (1-7 First team, 8-14 Second team)
Time: Girls race will begin at 5:30pm. There will be a rolling start for the boys race- when the last girl finishes we will start the boys. Coaches we will be trying to get both races finished before dark so a fair time limit might be imposed for the runners to complete the race.
Shirts: Shirt sales will be offered by Squares of Time on the day of the meet only. Interested athletes and their families will need to bring cash payment.
Concessions: There will be no concessions available Each team will need to provide snacks/drinks for their runners. Please let parents know this information prior to the race.

5:15 pm - 1st call for Girls Race
5:20 pm - 2nd call for Girls
5:25 pm - Final Call for Girls
5:30 pm - Girls 4000 Meter Championship Race
5:45 pm - 1st call for Boys Race
5:50 pm - 2nd call for Boys
5:55 pm - Final Call for Boys
6:00 pm - Boys 4000 Meter Championship Race
