Welcome to the first ever KCD/Built4This Invitational! We are excited to bring a middle school AND elementary meet option to this year's spring calendar! This meet is open to any K-8 athlete competing for their school, club, or unattached. Please read carefully through ALL the information below.
Meet Location:
Kentucky Country Day School
Saturday, April 15, 2023
*Meet will begin at 10 am EST
Age Divisions:
6u, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14
*Ages are based on birth YEAR, not on their exact age the day of the meet.
*Athletes should compete only in their respective age division throughout the duration of the meet.
Events:
100 M Dash, 200 M Dash, 400 M dash, 800 M run, 1600 M run, LJ, SP
*There will be no 1600 or shot put for the 6u division
*Everyone will run in lanes regardless of their age, with the exception of the 800m and 1600m runs which will be waterfall starts.
Entry Fees:
$8 per athlete if running for school or club
$10 per athlete if running unattached.
Entries:
All entries must be done through KYmilesplit.
Each athlete may register for up to 3 events.
Teams may register 4 athletes per age group, per gender, per event. For the 6u division, unlimited athletes will be allowed for the 100m and 200m. No shot put or 1600m for 6u division.
There will be no entries permitted past the entry deadline
Deadline is Monday April 10 at midnight.
If the meet reaches capacity before the deadline, entries may be closed at that time. Any remaining teams/athletes will be put on a waiting list and notified if space becomes available.
Payment:
Pay through Milesplit online prior to the meet. You may also pay by check the day of the meet. Make checks payable to : Built4This Track Club and Academy
You are responsible to make payment for ALL registered athletes regardless of their attendance the day of the meet.
Admission:
$5 general admission at the gate
$3 for students
5 years and under free
Meet Schedule:
9:00 am gates open
9:30 coaches' meeting
10:00 am start. Running events will begin with the 100M Dash. We will be on a rolling schedule, youngest to oldest, girls then boys (ex. 6u girls/6u boys, 8u girls/8u boys, 10u girls/10u boys, etc). Schedule is subject to change if the weather interferes.
Order of events:
100m Dash
1600 M Run
400 M Run
200M Dash
800M Dash
SP and LJ will begin at 10am
*For the sake of time, age groups may be combined in any given event (most likely the 800M, 1600M) depending on the number of entries in each age group. Results will be separated by age group however.
Awards:
Top 3 in each age group and gender will receive medals in each event.
