2023 Eagle Classic at LCA
Thank you for your interest in attending the 2023 Eagle Classic at LCA
We look forward to having a great late season Friday Night Meet in advance of Saturday's
Kentucky Derby.
We have an 8-lane 400 meter track, two horizontal jump pits, high jump and pole vault. The discus and shot put venues are located next to each other.
We will have an area designated for tent city inside the fence and ask that tents not be set up in the stands.
The LCA Athletic Complex address is 450 W. Reynolds Road, Lexington KY 40503.
(approximately 1/2 mile west of Fayette Mall and across from Meijer).
The meet will start at 6:00 PM.
The track will open for warm ups at 5:15 PM.
Coaches meeting at 5:30 PM at the finish line.

Competitor numbers will be assigned and emailed to coaches prior to the meet. They will also be available in the packets handed out at the coaches meeting.
Meet Format: Running and field events will be in the regular order on a rolling schedule.
Horizontal Jumps and Throws will be four (4) attempts, no finals.
Between the 4 x 100 meter relay and 400 meter dash we will be recognizing our Lexington Christian Seniors.
Awards: There will be team awards for the 1st and 2nd place teams on the girls and the boys side. Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each event with ribbons for fourth through sixth.
Scoring: 10-8-6-4-2-1
Entries: Each team may enter up to 3 athletes per event (only 2 will score) and 1 relay team. Athletes may only be entered into 4 events total including relays. Schools may enter a B team. A and B teams will be scored separate school teams.
Pole Vault will be contested with opening height at 5-00 Girls;
6-00 Boys.
High Jump opening heights will be determined after entries have closed.
Due to a special request, we will be offering some Unified Events.
Entry Fees: $75 per team. Boys & Girls are separate teams. $150 for both.
$10 for individuals. Individuals must compete for their high school and generally fall into one of three categories.
1. An athlete is coming to compete in just the Pole Vault as it is the only KHSAA Minimum Meet required event.
2. A coach wishes to just bring select athletes/relay.
3. The High School team has 7 or less, per gender, on their roster.
The $10 for individuals does not apply if you have entered an A Team and wish to bring an additional athlete to compete on the B Team.In that instance, that athlete would constitute the B Team.

Admission: $5.00 for age 10 and older. No charge for those 9 and younger.
