Important Field Event Check-in information

Due to the large numbers in some field events, all field event athletes must check in at the start of the event, even if they must leave to do a running event. After 10 minutes, no athletes will be allowed to check in. This will allow us to keep the event moving without having to stop to check in athletes every few minutes.

Packet Pick up:

Packet pick up will be just inside the entrance located nearest the main parking lot. If a check has not been mailed, please bring it to the meet.

Live Results:

Live results can be found at this link. https://live.dcracetiming.com/

Admission:

$5. No cash. Tickets only. https://gofan.co/app/events/971686?schoolId=KY6154_1

Parking:

Please follow the directions of our parking volunteers. There are two lots located on both sides of Eastern High School.

  • Main lot located off Old Shelbyville Rd

  • Off Hite Road, there is parking at Easterns lower parking lot, the soccer/lacrosse field parking lot, the baseball parking lot, and Hite Elementary parking lot.

Declarations

Only for running events. Declaration is not check-in. They inform us the athlete is present and intends to run their events. Declarations will be near the first turn and softball field. All athletes will declare for their races. If you have not attended a meet utilizing declarations, its important to note:

  • Athletes will inform our volunteers they are present and intend to run their events. They need to know their events and have their bib number to show.

  • We will do declarations for the 100 meter hurdles and 100 meter dash starting at 4:30.

  • Once the 100 meter dash begins, athletes can return to the declaration area and declare for all other events.

  • Athletes must declare before the prior event begins. Once heat sheets are created, athletes will not be added.

Tent Space:

There is a grass space near the lower parking lot and next to the school for team tents.

Event Check-in:

Field event athletes should check in at the start of their event, even if they need to leave to run. They can always return.

Check-in is separate from declaration. Athletes who havent checked in by third call will be scratched.

  • Check in for the 100 meter hurdles and the 100 meter dash will be at the starting line.

  • Check in for all other running events will be next to the declaration tent near the first turn and the softball field.

  • Athletes will be informed of their heat and lane and walk to the starting line in heats when directed.

Infield:

We want to keep athletes out of the infield once racing begins. Only those walking to their event and field event athletes (long jump, triple jump, Turbo Jav) should be in the infield.

Track Access Points:

Athletes entering during the 100 meter hurdles and 100 meter dash can do so near the starting line. Once those events are complete, that access point will be blocked.

All athletes needing to access the track will do so near the declaration/check-in area near the first turn and softball field.

When athletes finish their race, they will be directed out of the gate nearest the finish line.

Athletes are to walk around, on the outside of the facility, to get to their locations and should not enter the infield.

Awards:

Athletes can pick up their awards in the press box once they post. There are medals for the top 3 in each event.

There are team trophies for the team champions. Those will be distributed at the conclusion of the meet.
