Laurel High School would like to invite you and your team to participate in the SLHS Cards Cross Country Challenge on Friday, August 27th, 2021. This meet will be held at the London-Laurel County Fairgrounds located at 1855 State Hwy 229 London, Kentucky 40744. The course will take advantage of the grassy terrain the perimeter of the location provides and include some
of the 3D archery trails as well. This course will be challenging with a good mix of hills and flats and is a VERY spectator friendly venue. This meet will be limited to 8 teams. We look forward to seeing you. If you have further questions, please feel free to contact Coach Carrie Kirby at

6:00 PM MS Girls 4K - $30/team $6/Individual

6:30 PM Varsity Girls 5K - $40/team $10/Individual
7:15 PM Varsity Boys 5K - $40/team $10/Individual
Maximum number of 10 individuals per team for high school races. Boys and girls teams are considered separate entry fees. But if you have a full girls and boys team per division, deduct $10.00 from entry fee. For example, both girls and boys varsity total would be $70.00, both girls and boys middle school total would be $50.00 & both girls and boys elementary total would be $40.00.
All times are tentative. We will operate on a rolling schedule. Checks need to be made to South Laurel High School Cross Country. If mailed before the meet, please send them to: Carrie Kirby, South Laurel High School, 201 South Laurel Road, London, Ky. 40744. Otherwise, they can be brought on meet day.
Elementary Races: Team trophies to top 2 teams
Middle School Races: Team trophies to top 2 teams
Varsity Races: Team trophies to top 2 teams
Individual Awards: Trophy to 1st place finisher, medals to 2nd-5th place, ribbons to 6th-15th
Admission will be $5.00 per carload. School buses will be free.
Concessions and restrooms will be available. Coaches information will be available at registration table located under pavilion.
Tents will be allowed in the outfield of softball field at bottom of hill. Grounds has several structures that provide shade where teams could use tarps rather than setting up a tent.
