The GLCC Series is back! And it's FREE to schools
The fifth edition of the series will kick off Aug. 23 and run every Monday through October 18 at Charlie Vettiner Park, with the one exception being Labor Day week, in which we will race on Tuesday. Your school or athlete can compete in one of our races, or all of our races. However, to qualify for the GLCC Championships on October 18, you must compete in 3 meets.
We are adding a High School race this season to our normal lineup of K1, 3rd&U, 5th&U, and MS races. Like the middle school race, the high school race will be mixed-gender.
We hope to welcome back our regulars and any newcomers. We will cap the series at 20 schools, or 500 runners, whichever comes first.
The 2021 GLCC is Free to schools.
We will ask for a $5 admission at the gate from everyone over 12 years of age. We encourage all spectators to purchase tickets in advance.
For those competing in the entire series, we will offer a family season pass for $75 until Aug. 13. This season pass will be good for all immediate family members of an athlete for the entire series. A single-person season ticket will be sold for $40.
The Event Schedule each week is tentative and will follow are rolling schedule once we get started, so there will be times when we run ahead of schedule when possible. As we enter October, times may be moved up to account for earlier sunsets.
