Apollo Middle School Invitational
We are excited to announce that we will be hosting the 1st EVER Apollo Middle School Invite, at our brand new state-of-the-art Track and Field facility. We will be contesting ALL events and using our Finish Lynx timing system so each event has completely accurate fully automated times. Our goal is to put on one of the absolute best Middle School Invitationals in the State.
Our beautiful blue 8-laned rubberized track will provide all athletes the opportunity to run blazing fast times. Our hurdles, starting blocks, throws area, and both the high jump and vault pits not only meet all high school standards but also all NCAA standards.
For the friends and families of the athletes sitting in the stands, all running AND field events can easily be seen from the home bleachers. Not only can spectators watch each event from the home bleachers they can also track the progress of each field event athlete as we have performance boards for each field event.

Meet Time and Date: Saturday, May 8th, 2021. The Field Events and the girls 4x800 will begin at 10am. The remainder of the running events will begin at 11:00. Implement weigh-is will begin at 8:30, and there will be coaches meeting at 9:00. Field Events will be open to warmups at 9:15am.
Entries: Each team will be permitted to enter 3 athletes per event and one relay team per event. If you have a large team and would like to enter a B Team you will be permitted to do so for an extra fee.
Entry Fees: The entry fee will be $50 for a boys' team and $50 for a girls' team. A full team will be considered any team that enters more than 4 athletes. Teams entering less than 4 athletes will be asked to pay $10 per athlete. There will be a charge of $30/gender to enter a B Team. All Entry Fees should be brought with you on the day of the meet. Make checks payable to Apollo High School. NOTE: If you just have an extra 1 or 2 kids in a certain event you'd like to enter contact Coach Shoulta.
Entries DUE: Entries are due by Wednesday, May 5th by 3:00pm and need to be done online at www.kytrackxc.com. If you have not entered athletes in a meet using this system before please email Coach Shoulta. Please use as accurate entry marks as possible.
General Meet Information: We will follow the standard order of high school events (order is at the bottom), this is also the order that will be used at Middle School State. We will be contesting the 300 Hurdles, Pole Vault, Triple Jump, and potentially Turbo Jav. Athletes can compete in a max of four total events.
Awards: Medals will be awarded to 1st-3rd place in each event, 4th-6th place will be awarded ribbons. The 1st and 2nd place teams will receive team trophies.
Scoring & Timing: Scoring for the meet will be 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 for both individual events and relays. We will be timing the meet using FinishLynx Fully Automated Timing.
Spectator Information: At this time there will be NO limit on the number of spectators permitted to attend. If that changes we will notify all coaches. We will be selling concessions, and spectators are not allowed to bring in outside food and beverages.
Admission: The cost of admission will be $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for students.
