We look forward to this rare occasion for our cities to compete against one another prior to the State Championship, as we kick off the 2nd Annual Fayette/Jefferson County Border Challenge Saturday, May 9th. Entries are available via ky.milesplit. Please follow the link to submit your entries. The cost of attending the Invitational is $5 per person, children 10 and under are free. Concessions will be open during the meet. Media coverage will be provided by local newspaper and news stations along with professional photographers. The meet will also be broadcast

ORDER OF EVENTS
All fields events start 30 minutes prior to the running events in the following order: Girls High Jump, Boys Long Jump, Girls Shot Put, Boys Discus. Boys High Jump, Girls Long Jump, Boys Shot Put, Girls Discus, Boys Triple Jump; Girls Triple Jump.

ENTRIES
Each school is able to enter 3 athletes per sprinting event and 4 athletes per Distance event. Teams may enter only 1 relay team. Teams are able to enter 3 athletes per field event.
ENTRY FEES
Entry fee
Boys Team: $75. Girls Team: $75.
Fee will cover the cost of timer, starter, officials, medals and trophies.
AWARDS AND TROPHIES
A Border Challenge Trophy will go to the city with the highest total accumulated points scored in all events. There will also be trophys for both (girls/boys titles and 2nd place team finishes). We will also recognize a meet MVP for Girls & Boys voted on by each Girls & Boys Head Coach. Medals will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each event.
