Uniform rules:

Athletes will be held accountable to the uniform rules as directed by the KHSAA and NFHS.

The facility:

8 lane rubber track, two jump pits, one pole vault pit, one high jump mat. Shot put and discus are visible from the home stands (discus is thrown onto the football field). All times are shown final on the scoreboard immediately following each heat.

Tents / Warm-up area:

Assuming we have not experienced significant rain the previous day, team tents can be placed in the grass around the track. Once the track closes, athletes may warm up outside of the track area.

Bus parking:

After dropping off their athletes, buses will be directed where to park. Adults will be directing traffic. Athletes will enter at front of facility.

Clerking / Staging:

All running events will clerk by the start of the 110 hurdles. Athletes may check in and stay in that area or choose to move back to the practice field to warm up, but athletes will enter the track at the gate by the start of the 110 hurdles, and will exit all events in the track area at the gate by the finish line. At no time should an athlete jump the fence or enter at another gate.

If a competitor shows up to an event without a number, he or she will be scratched. Likewise, should a competitor miss third and final call, he or she will be scratched.

Coaches' wristbands:

Coaches will be allotted wristbands for use of the hospitality tent. Head coaches will notify Coach Clark during the coaches' meeting as to the number of wristbands needed for the day.

Awards:

Athletes who score in the top 8 will be asked down for an awards ceremony as final results come in. Please try to get your athletes down for that, where they will receive medals for 1st-3rd and ribbons for 4th-8th.
