Meet Information
West Jessamine will host the Elementary Derby Meet for grades K-6. This will be structured similar to an All-Comers meet so you can bring your entire team, however there is an entry fee and we will give awards.
Athletes can participate in a maximum of 3 events due to the shortened nature of the meet. Please make sure when you register that you enter your athletes in the correct DIVISION for their School Year.
Divisions - Grades K/1/2/3, and Grades 4/5/6.
Entry Fees - The entry fee for the meet will be $50 per gender team, or $100 per school max. Teams with less than 5 athletes will be charged $10 per athlete.
Awards - will be given to the top 6 athletes in each division. Medals for the top finisher, and ribbons for places 2-6. Trophies will be given to the top 2 teams in each division.
Races will be setup for different age divisions. We will contest the following events in this order:
* 4x800m relay (2 divisions, 1 section)
100m
1600m
4x100m relay
400m
4x200m relay
800m
200m
4x400m relay
long jump
shot put (6#) boys then girls
Turbojav(300 grams) - girls then boys
