Meet Information
CKY Homeschool Athletics invites your team to the inaugural Spartan Chase on Saturday, September 7, 2019. Hosted by the CKY Spartans basketball and cross country teams, the Spartan Chase will have its Athletic Director, Head Basketball Coach, and former EKU Basketball Player, Deverin Muff as emcee. Deverin was also a high jumper in the state of Ohio (6'8" during his senior year of high school 2010).
The course is the Berea College Cross Country Trail, located on the east edge of the Berea College campus. This is the home course for both the men's and women's Berea College cross country teams. The course begins on the College's Alumni Fields before winding runners through a myriad of wooded trails and a signature creek. Public schools, private schools, home schools, and clubs are all welcome. Temporary bathrooms and concessions (water, drinks, fruit, snacks, etc.) will be available. Our emcee will provide a group prayer prior to each race.

Each team may have unlimited runners.
Each school/organization will have a maximum fee of $200.
Varsity is defined as 12th grade and under (minimum 6th grade).
Middle School is defined as 8th grade and under.
Elementary is defined as 6th grade and under.
A given runner may only participate in exactly one division race.
Boys and Girls are scored separately, and thus each is considered a team. The team fee of $50 applies to boys and the team fee of $50 applies to girls, even if running in a combined race.
Races and start times are subject to change based on the number of entrants.
AWARDS
Team score's will be the finish place of the top 3 runners, with the 4th and 5th place runners as pushers.
Medals will be given to the top 3 individuals in each of the 6 divisions (ribbons for 4th-10th place). (JUST ADDED - Given the Elementary division is 6th grade and under, a special set of medals/ribbons may be given to 3rd grade and under top finishers that did not place in the Elementary division. NO additional team trophies will be given ... just an additional set of medals/ribbons for this younger part of the Elementary division).
Trophies will be given to top 2 teams in each of the 6 divisions.
Awards are subject to change based on the number of entrants.
Awards will be announced after each race.
* No official results will be captured for the Fun Run, yet a small gift may be given. Only those elementary age or younger children not participating in other races are eligible. Please ask about specific exceptions.

Registration deadline is midnight Tuesday, September 3.

Rosters must include runner's first name, last name, gender, grade, and division.
Checks may be brought to the meet and made payable to CKY Homeschool Athletics.
