Entries must be completed online at http://ky.milesplit.com/meets/236802/registration by 9:00pm, 4 Days prior to the Regional Meet. All entries for Region 5AA need to be sent. After this time, an athlete may be added only to replace an injured or ill competitor, and only if documentation, signed by a physician, is presented to the KHSAA to cause the need for substitution. Since entry process is done via Milesplit, the window will close at 9PM on this day. NO EXCEPTIONS. All times are Eastern Standard Time.
Wednesday, May 18, 2016:
By 9:00pm, 3 days prior to the regional meet, a preliminary performance listing will be distributed. The only acceptable verification of meet results will be submission to http://kymilesplit.com site. Entry shall be by verified using the http://kymilesplit.com site only.
Thursday, May 19, 2016:
By 9:00pm, 2 days before the region, any challenge to seed times shall be submitted. If there is a discrepancy or a challenge it needs to be made on Thursday by contacting Terry Yeast and Leslie Smith. Terry.yeast@mercer.kyschools.us and smithwl57@roadrunner.com
Friday, May 20, 2016:
One day before the region, the final performance list will be distributed. An entry with no time entered for an athlete may be challenged. There will be no substitutions unless there is documentation to the KHSAA of an injury that was not known to the coach prior to the entry being submitted.

Regional Meet day
10:30 am: Coaches, Officials meeting at the finish line. Please turn in your KHSAA required forms at this time.
Required paperwork:
1. KHSAA form TR112 (Meet verification form) all coaches must submit this form
2. KHSAA form TR122 (Pole vault verification form) only coaches with athletes entered in Pole vault must submit this form
3. KHSAA form TR120 (Inhaler form) only coaches with athletes who must use an inhaler within the area of competition must submit this form
4. Collection of forms: we will collect all forms at the Coaches Meeting. As it states in the Regional instructions, the coaches meeting is the last opportunity for anyone to contest the eligibility of any entrant (i.e. whether an entrant satisfies the 4 meet limit).

The jury of appeals will be Lynn Flach (Mercer Co.), Brent Wagner (Boyle Co), and Alvis Johnson.

VERIFICATION OF ENTRY TIMES
1. The only acceptable verification of meet results will be submission to http://kymilesplit.com site. Entry shall be by verified using the http://kymilesplit.com site only.
2. All coaches must be able to verify times that are entered for an athlete in the regional meet.
3. Any time which cannot be verified, cannot be used.
4. Please be sure to fill all 8 spots on relay entries. The 4 who dont run at regionals are the only ones eligible to fill in at the state meet. Also, remember coaches only times run in HS meets may be used for regional seeding.
Team Logistics:
There will be 3 gates open for parents/spectators. Admission: $6.00
All teams must enter the gate marked TENT CITY on the opposite side of the bleachers near the top of the hill. Please do not bring your team through the gate at the bottom of the hill.
Please do not set up tents in the home stands.
There are restrooms at the press box and in TENT CITY.
The track will be open for warm-ups at 10:15am and will close at 10:45am.
There will be full concessions available plus limited quantities of region shirts.
All check ins will be at the start of the 100 meters except for the 200 and 300 hurdles. Please stay off the infield during the meet. We will bring athletes down the outside of lane 8 to the starting line.
Coaches are permitted on the infield.
The order of field events will be:
Boys shot
Girls Discus
Boys High jump
Boys Long jump
Girls triple jump
Girls pole vault
Shot put, Discus, Long jump, and Triple jump will have 3 attempts and top 7 finalists will get 3 more jumps/throws with best jump/throw winning (even if best jump/throw is in preliminary round).
