ENTRIES: Entry into the Wildcat Classic is open to Kentucky HIGH SCHOOL athletes ONLY. Athletes must compete as members of their high school team. The number of athletes entered is unlimited, but each athlete is limited to two individual events and one relay.

All TEAM ENTRIES (6 or more athletes) must be made through aspi meetz, an online entry service.

INDIVIDUAL ENTRIES (5 or fewer athletes) MUST BE MADE via EMAIL to dweber@uky.edu by 12:00 on Monday, January 16. Individual entries must also be Declared by email on Wednesday, January 18.

If you MISTAKENLY enter five or fewer athletes on-line (thru aspi meetz) you will be charged a minimum entry fee of $60.

We will email an Invitation to Enter with a direct link to aspi meetz Wildcat Classic Entry Page to the KTCCCA Coaches Association list serve in early December. You may begin to enter athletes online immediately, but you must declare or finalize you entries by 12:00n (eastern) Wednesday, January
18. You may enter, update or adjust your entries anytime from December 1 until 12:00 noon (eastern), Wednesday, January 18. As the instructions on the entry page indicates, once you click on the DECLARE LIST BUTTON you will not be able to edit your entries and we will not be able to download entries that have not been officially declared. We will seed the meet and your entry fee will be calculated based on only those
entries declared by 12:00 noon on Wednesday, January 18.

IMPORTANT: For entry into the 60m and 60m hurdles, please use your athletes best 100 meter or 100m/110m hurdle times. In the past weve received both indoor and outdoor performances and we do not want to try to convert times. Please enter your athletes with accurate performances to ensure the fairest
competition.

ENTRY FEES: Five dollars per athlete, per event in individual events, PLUS twenty dollars for each relay team. Men and women athletes from the same school will be considered as separate teams. Entry fees must be paid on or before Saturday, January 21, 2012

AWARDS: Wildcat Classic Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each event.

CONDUCT OF COMPETITION: A coach, parent or designated school representative must accompany

athletes to the meet. All events will be contested as sections against time finals. Sections will be seeded
according to entry times and other available performance information. The first section will be the top seeded
section.

The competition will begin at 12:00n (eastern standard time), and a rolling time schedule will be followed
throughout the meet. Check the www.uktrack.com website Friday for the number of sections to assist you
with estimating the time of your event(s). Start list will be posted Friday afternoon. The no false start rule will
be in effect.

DRESSING ROOMS: No formal dressing rooms are available in the field house, so please have your athletes come to the field house dressed to compete.

RESTROOMS: Lobby restrooms are reserved for spectators and coaches only. Athletes must use the portable toilets in the rear of the field house. To minimize the initial long lines for the portable toilets we will create separate draped changing areas in the rear of the field house for those athletes who do not come to the meet dressed to compete.

SPIKED SHOES: Pyramid one quarter (1/4) inch spikes are the only spikes allowed. Starting line clerks will prohibit athletes will other spikes (pin, Christmas tree) from competing. Dont risk it!!!

WARM-UP LOGISTICS: Athletes must warm-up on the football field. A warm-up oval will be marked with white sport fencing on the field. Teams will be required to camp or locate inside the oval, allowing athletes warming-up a clear path around the oval on the outer edges of the football field. Warming-up will not be allowed on the track!

ATHLETE CHECK-IN: All athletes must check-in with the Clerk of Course in the pole vault corner of the field house 15 minutes prior to their race. The clerk will distribute hip numbers to all athletes competing in races in which the competitors do not remain in an assigned lane throughout the entire race (400 800 mile 2 mile 4 x 400 and 4 x 800). Athletes in the 60m, 60m hurdles and 200 WILL NOT need
hip numbers. After checking in with the CLERK OF COURSE athletes will be responsible for reporting to the starting line for their race. The Starting Line Clerks will be wearing black and white striped referee shirts and they will call athletes to the starting line. We will not delay the start waiting for late arrivals. Coaches, please make sure your athletes know their section and lane assignment PRIOR to checking in. It will expedite the check-in process tremendously.

SPLIT TIMES: A split-timer carrying a blue sign will move around the track providing split locations.

START LISTS: Start lists (heat sheets) for all events will be posted on the meets web site
(www.uktrack.com) on Friday afternoon and in the field house on Saturday morning.

ATHLETIC TRAINERS: The UK Sports Medicine Staff will provide athletic training needs to all athletes.

RESULTS: Results will be posted on the infield at the 50 yard line and on the wall next to the bleachers near
the front entrance. At the conclusion of the meet, complete printed results will be distributed under the side
timing deck on the backstretch. Results will be also be posted at www.uktrack.com.

FOOD & DRINK POLICY: Although pre-competition snack foods (nutritional bars, fruit, etc) are allowed in
the field house, team fast food picnic meals are not. Please limit all drinks to containers with lids and ask
your athletes to deposit all refuse in the trashcans. Your assistance in keeping the field house clean will be
greatly appreciated. Food restrictions apply to spectators as well. CONCESSIONS WILL BE AVAIABLE.
