Boys: Kenny Minogue (Trinity)
In last Saturday's Bulldog Classic at the University of Louisville, Kenny won the Elite Boys 800 meter run in strong fashion, clocking an excellent time of 1:56.88. Kenny is undefeated against Kentucky half-milers this season, running two seconds ahead of the next fastest Kentucky boys 800 meter time and within 0.2 seconds of his runner-up performance in last year's State Meet.
Girls: Mary Grace Pellegrini (Dupont Manual)
Also competing in the Bulldog Classic, Mary Grace won the Elite Girls 3200 meter run in a fine time of 11:12.53 and was runner-up in the Elite Girls 1600 meter run with 5:18.45. Her 3200 time is 26 seconds faster than the next-best Kentucky girl's 3200 meter time this season and 7 seconds below Kentucky's best 3200 meter time in 2005.
