MEMPHIS, Tenn.- Junior men's cross country runner James Maglasang was named the C-USA Cross Country Male Athlete of the Week by the league office on Tuesday. The Paducah, Ky. , native took sixth place at the Memphis Brooks Twilight Classic, after fighting through a weather delay and grueling ground conditions.
Maglasang clocked a 4-mile time of 20:48.85 to start the season, helping men's squad finish fourth of 21 teams overall. This is the third time that Maglasang has taken C-USA Athlete of the Week honors in his career at Memphis.
