Double AAU Champs for the Karas Family

 

The Karas Sisters strike again this time in Florida at the AAU National Championship.  Class AA State Champion Gabriella Karas (Collins) won the 4K Youth title with older sister and Kentucky State Record Holder Caterina Karas winning the 5K Intermediate title with a new best time of 17:54.   The club they were representing Derby City came away with four team runner-up finishes and two team championships.  They brought home the title in the Girls 4K Youth Division and Girls 3K Bantam Division.  Middle School State Champion Trenton Fryman placed 9th in the Boys Youth Division and Josh Meiman placed 7th in the Primary Division to finish as the top boys runners for Derby City.
