Individual Favorites: Connor Sheryak & Sam Lewis (St. Xavier) Patrick Gregory (Butler)
This race could play out many different ways depending on whether or not St. Xavier runs their top three in this race. They did last year, but in the past have run number 4-10 instead.
The first half of the season, Patrick Gregory (Butler) looked like the favorite, the second half of the season Connor Sheryak (St. Xavier) looked like the favorite and then last week Sam Lewis (St. Xavier) beat his teammate Sheryak. So this is a toss-up with any of them having a legitimate shot. Let me not forget to mention that Zack Beavin is the senior leader of St. Xavier and could have extra motivation (last regional) to win and defending regional champion Tretez Kinnaird has had more training time to get back into shape after being hurt the first half of the season. It should be pretty fast with as all five of them going sub 16...
