The 2011 Cross Country season is among us and looking at all the potential matchups this season, the Class AA boys team competition looks to be the closest.
In the recent KYtrackXC.com Pre-Season Class AA State Rankings, Edmonson County was ranked #1 with defending champion, North Oldham sitting at #2. Both of these teams could make an early argument that they are #1, but the early edge goes to the Edmonson County. Lexington Catholic looks to be just a piece away from being right there with Edmonson and North Oldham. With each team being in a different part of the state it is likely they will only run against each other a couple times before the Kentucky State Cross Country Meet in November.
