This Week's Nominees:
Kyler Burton, Bracken County (Kentucky): Threw 65-7 to win the shot put at the Class 1A Region 5 meet, defeating a field of 32 competitors.
Chris Chandler, Bracken County (Kentucky): Won the long jump at Class 1A Region 5 with a mark of 24-5.5, beating 24 other competitors. The #1 freshman in Kentucky in the long jump also competed in the shot put, placing 10th with a throw of 43-2.
Kaden Mack, Dupont Manual (Kentucky): Clocked 10.61 to capture the 100 meters at the Louisville Meet of Champions, topping a field of 34 sprinters. The #3 junior in Kentucky in the event turned in the fastest time of the week statewide.
Xavier Richardson, Lafayette (Kentucky): Swept the distance events at Class 3A Region 6, winning the 1600 in 4:14.10 and the 800 in 1:55.10. Also took first in the 3200 meters with a time of 9:47.86, completing a dominant triple victory across three different distance events.
AAron Ramey, Male (Kentucky): Cleared 6-8 to win the high jump at the Louisville Meet of Champions, posting the top mark in Kentucky this week.
