Richey High School Early Bird Meet @ Cedarville
duPont Manual sophomore Cassidy Hale won the 1600m Run at the Richey High School Early Bird Meet in Cedarville, Ohio. Hale beat Michelle Thomas of Glen Este in Cincinnati by .81. Just last week Thomas set meet records in all three distance events (800m, 1600m, 3200m) at the KTCCCA Indoor at Mason County in Kentucky. Hale winning time was a 5:15 which is a new personal best. Her sister, Kristen was 5th with a 5:32 and another teammate, Jasmine Athasankes was 6th with a 5:33.
This was Manual’s second victory of the day as the foursome of Kara Atwell, Cristin Palmer, Marissa Hale, and Athansakes won the 4x800m Relay with a 10:37. The second place team, was 2010 Class A XC champions Fairview with a 10:47. The group was made up of Morgan McIntyre, Lyndsey Burke, Haley Layne, and Maddy Rymer.
duPont Manual senior Reece Johns brings home second in the 1600m with a 4:33.28 while Bishop Brossart’s Zac Holtkamp finishes 18th with a 4:50.28.
Trevor Troutman of Bullitt East finished 10th in the Shot Put with a throw of 45-04.
