Trevin Peterson of Walton-Verona, the 2009 Class A State Cross Country Champion is out for the remainder of his senior cross country season. Peterson has a stress fracture in his knee and a bone contusion.
Even with this news Peterson is keeping his hopes high. When asked about his thoughts on the injury Peterson said, “it is just hitting me that I'm not going to be able to finish my senior season which is hard but I'm moving on to track which is where I'm going to make my mark... I'm looking to take down a few records come state time”
Peterson ran a season best time of 15:59 at the Trinity Invitational on September 18th. He was last ranked #2 in the KYtrackXC.com Class A Rankings.
