Kentucky high school track and field athletes recorded multiple personal bests during competition from March 30-April 3.
Cedric Green (Central Hardin) threw 56-11.5 in the shot put at the Bruin Gold Medal Meet, improving from his previous best of 39-8.5. The mark places him #7 in Kentucky and #2 among juniors, while also setting a school record. Green also recorded a personal best in the long jump, improving from 15-2 to 21-3 at the same meet.
Olena Wilson (Lafayette) ran 12.97 in the 100 meters at the Tates Creek All-Comers meet on March 31, dropping from her previous best of 14.05. The time ranks #125 in Kentucky and #28 among juniors, with Wilson finishing 14th out of 95 competitors.
Idris Finnell (Holmes) clocked 12.99 in the 100 meters at the Ludlow Invitational on April 1, improving from 13.57. The junior ranks #136 in Kentucky and #30 in her class, taking second place among 13 runners.
Shaden Brown (Danville) ran 11.22 in the 100 meters at the Boyle All Comers meet on April 2, improving from 11.78. The sophomore ranks #125 in Kentucky and #11 in his class, finishing second out of 47 competitors.
Hunter Stanley (Muhlenberg County) threw 152-0 in the discus at the Owensboro Invitational on April 2, improving from 133-5. The senior ranks #19 in Kentucky and set a school record while winning the event among 20 throwers.
Claire Inabinet (Scott County) ran 12.51 in the 100 meters at the Tates Creek All-Comers meet on March 31, improving from 12.94. The senior ranks #31 in Kentucky and #13 in her class, placing fifth out of 95 runners. Inabinet also set a personal best in the 400 meters, improving from 58.44 to 57.59.
