JACKIE STEVENS of Bullitt East High School has committed to Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green. She was the 2009 Class AA Shot Put and Discus State Champion. Her achievements helped her in being named the KYtrackXC.com Class AA Female Field Athlete of the Year and Class AA Junior Female Athlete of the Year.
She currently leads the state of Kentucky in both throws events. She has thrown 42-01 for the Shot and 120-01 for the Discus.
As well as having success in track, she is an outstanding student in the classroom. She was participated in the Governor Scholar’s last summer.
