The KHSAA Indoor Track & Field Meet is set for March 3-5, 2026 at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center, Louisville. A comprehensive time schedule is being developed and will be posted on the KHSAA website as soon as it becomes available.
· Class 1A will compete on March 3
· Class 3A on March 4
· Class 2A on March 5
Again for 2026, the top 24 performances (max 2 per school) in each event will be preliminary state qualifiers (prior to the scratch deadline) with the expressed intent, where possible, of having a full field for each event. The deadline for any qualifying performances to be on Milesplit will be February 22nd at 9:00 PM ET, and must come from a Varsity-level meet. Only the meets that use the Milesplit registration will be used to qualify athletes for the postseason (seeding for outdoor track, indoor state qualifying, etc). Any meets hosted by a KHSAA member school are to use MileSplit for registration. Step-by-step instructions will be sent to schools on how to "enter" athletes into the meet.
The State Indoor Championships will utilize Milesplit, the KHSAA's exclusive provider of online registration and results. This allows the automatic conversions that the Milesplit platform already provides, and conversions would be permissible in the following specific events as a service to our schools:
· 60m High Hurdles to 55m High Hurdles
· 60m Dash to 55m Dash
· 1-mile to 1600m Run
· 2-mile to 3200m Run
These will be the only events where conversions will be permitted; all other qualification performances must come from the specific event (i.e., 1500m times and 3000m times will neither be converted nor accepted for qualification). As a reminder, the events for the 2026 KHSAA Indoor Track & Field meet, based on the NFHS Track & Field Rules Book, are below.
