2024 will be the 4th edition of Bluegrass Running Camp. We have less than 75 spots left now before we hit our 300 camper max. We are mainly KY kids at camp, but last year we had kids from 11 different states attend. The reason we started the camp was because there were no camps in KY at the time and so kids had to travel out of state and pay $750-$1000+ for a running camp. Our aim is to keep Bluegrass Running Camp as affordable as possible and also offer a team discount and coaches are free to attend for free.
College Coaches:
We bring in most of the college coaches from around Kentucky. The coaches from Louisville, Kentucky, Bellarmine, Cumberlands, Campbellsville, Spaulding, Eastern Kentucky have all been there in the past.
Counselors:
We have hired 30 counselors who are all collegiate runners as well. This is a great opportunity to learn from and spend time with collegiate runners who were in your shoes just a few years ago. Our counselors all run collegiately at schools like: Kentucky, Louisville, Bellarmine, Centre, Western Kentucky, Michigan, NC State, Tulane, Colorado College, Xavier, DePaul, etc.
Guest Speakers:
Here are a few of our guest speakers from the last 3 years as well: Nico Young - NCAA Champion Katelyn Tuohy - NCAA Champion Yared Nuguse - NCAA Champion and American Record Holder Tim Bayley - World Championships qualifier Eric Hines - NCAA Champion Coach Joe Franklin - NCAA Champion Coach Hakon DeVries - University of Kentucky Sports Nutritionist Sports Psychologist
Sports Doctors
Human Performance Specialist
Who is Camp for?
Bluegrass Running Camp is for high school runners. Class of 2025 through Class of 2028.
We have a wide range of athletes at camp and encourage everyone to give it a shot. From State Champions to runners trying XC for the first time, BGRC has a spot for everyone and runs are assigned based on skill level and your pre camp forms where you tell us how much you usually run. Each day we have several running groups of different distances and paces for you to choose from so you are always in control of how much you do and how fast you're going.
