Brittany Arnold, a senior at Botkins, announced on Tuesday over her social media platforms that she has verbally committed to Northern Kentucky University to further her academic and athletic careers.

Arnold, an XC and distance track runner for the Trojans, has been a fixture at state meets, across all seasons, throughout her high school tenure.

Three times each at the OHSAA Cross Country Championships and the OHSAA Track and Field Championships plus a pair of trips to the OATCCC Track and Field Championships.

Her appearances during the outdoor and indoor campaigns all saw her contest the 3200.

Marks of 18:35.6 (XC), 11:18:84 (outdoor) and 11:35:39 (indoor) anchor her resume with respect to time-based performances.

Notably, she and teammate Alaina Mann, a junior, have led Botkins' formidable cross country squad throughout the 2023 fall competition.

They reside in the number nine spot in Division III on the latest OATCCC coaches poll release and at No. 10 within MileSplit's Virtual Rankings feature.

At Northern Kentucky, the Ohio pipeline of talent continues, as Arnold will join fellow Buckeye state athletes Grace Biddle (Little Miami), Hope Erbach (Waynesville), Lauren Mang (Lakota West), among others who already suit up for the Norse.

We reached out to Arnold for context on why NKU was the best fit for her future:

"I chose NKU because their team chemistry and strong program were exactly what I was looking for!"

The best way to do this is by filling out the 'Contact Us' form at the bottom of our website and by making sure to specify the athlete in question, their current high school and the college they will be attending.
