These ladies are unbelieveably good and are very deep. The impressive part is that their top five has been made up of seven different girls this year and they haven’t lost a step. Jessie Murner is the name that people know from this group after her state title last fall, but this is a great team, as was validated in their 4x800 meter relay state title in the spring. Kami Orrender has been a huge part of the squad’s success and she showed that by placing first for them this weekend. Freshman Grace Whitworth has been a nice surprise up front, while Hannah Ellie and Morgan Nieto have also been great contributors. Lauren Moore has also been a great find for this group as she has stepped up at the right times as well this year. The squad is set for an extended run even after this season as Nieto is the only senior among the bunch, so expect even better things this spring on the track.
