Team likely to qualify – St. Mary, Fort Campbell
Teams on the bubble – Murray, Heath, Carlisle County, Hickman County
The team race looks to be wrapped up by St. Mary as they are too strong up front with possibly the top three runners in the region. Defending Class A State Champion, James Maglasang is back and ready to win his fourth Region 1 title, emerging sophomore Nathan Ellis and senior James Howard complete the trio. Fort Campbell led by Bryan Beeler looks pretty solid to take the second spot departing for the Class A State Meet on November 14th. The real race is for the third and fourth spots. Defending regional champions Murray High brought everyone back from last year, but has had several ups and downs this season. Their #1 senior Chase Darnell has been out for the last couple weeks sick and could be out for the meet Saturday.
