As we move closer towards the end of the season, it is time for teams to roll out their full squads and really see what they have before starting the postseason in a little less than four weeks. The Franklin County Invitational was the first chance for teams to get on the newest course that will host the state championships this fall. It was a sloppy event and many teams left wondering if the state of the course would be similar for the state meet that was almost two months away. With forecasts looking cold and the course still returning to form after the mud pit it turned into just a few weeks ago, it will be interesting to see how it holds up to the new group coming in this weekend.
Luckily, the quality of the field is the focus this weekend over the quality of the course and the quality of the field is very impressive.
