#3 - Maggie Twehues - Woodford County
Maggie starts our list of the top three in the Class of 2023. All three of these next ladies are in Class AAA and all three placed in the top 5 at the Class AAA State Meet in 2019. Maggie was 5th and was only 5 second away from being 3rd. Last season, Maggie took home the individual title in the Class AAA Region 6 Championship, Trinity Christian Invitational, and Henry Clay/Tanner Duke Invitational. The only race she was lower than 5th was the KTCCCA Meet of Champions. Top off the season with a 10th place finish at the Foot Locker South Regional in the Freshman division.
Absent during the indoor season, if what we saw in the cross country season holds into 2020, Maggie will be a force across the state. She will have tough competition in her class and then throw in the fact that the Class of 2023 is loaded with talent. This could make for some really interesting duals for year to come.
Maggie was runner up at the 2019 Colonel Charge.
