            Fast times on a course full of rolling hills highlighted the action this morning at the Ryle Invitational, hosted by Ryle High School in Union Kentucky. The opportunity for Northern Kentucky area athletes to lay down some quality early season times was there for the taking with the weather being absolutely perfect and the fields featuring some competitive matchups on both the individual side and team side.

            Kicking off the action was the Girls JV race which saw the winner go 21:30.25, 6th grader Lauren Ossege of Highlands won the race in what would become the 6th fastest time run overall by any female competitor on the 5k course. Crossing the line in 2nd place was Katie Knapp of Cooper in a time of 22:18.94, Katie’s time of 22:18.94 would gave her the 15th fastest time of the day overall. The girl’s team from RyleHigh School won the JV race with 31 points, only three point difference from Cooper’s 34 points.
