 Kaitlin Snapp of Danville opened up with a convincing win on the course at Asbury College. She ran 19:59 to win easily over second place Emma Ditto of Boyle County who ran 20:45. This was Snapp's first high school race since her season ended early in the spring and it was a great statement in her attempt to repeat in Class A.


Seeing Emma and Rachel Ditto in Boyle County uniforms was a bit of a shock, but it answered the question about where they are now competing. It appears that the family moved, making their eligibility normal and vaulting Boyle County's girls into relevancy in Class AA. They placed second overall behind Northmor, the alma mater of West Jessamine coach Jen Thomas who brought a bunch down to support their own.

Robert Sandlin of Franklin County battled Burgin freshman Alex Beckerson for 2 miles before finally breaking away for the win. Sandlin said that he will be running again this Saturday at Shelby County so he was trying to get the win with as little energy ...
