Let's Show Our Field Athletes Some Love

Luke Levinson

Pole Vaulters might get the least love here so lets talk about them first. Luke Levinson of Eastern High School (shout out Coach Lord) has held the state lead almost all season. He set his PR at 15-0 earlier this season at the North Oldham Invite and tied it just a week later at Eastern Relays to win both. Also...he's just a freshman!

Grace Turner

The top dog in in the girls Pole Vault is Grace Turner who recently overtook Raegan Franklin in late April at the Barren Co. All Comers. Her 12-7 clearance soared past Franklin by an entire foot! Last years A State Champion looks to ride that momentum through the state meet to take home another title.

Sophie Galloway

One thing I think we can all agree on is that Sophie Galloway is a beast. She's the state leader in 3 events across both the track and the runway/sand pit. She's run 14.77 in the 100mH this year as well as jumped 18-6.5 for long jump and 39-8 for triple!

Nathan Jacobs

Nathan Jacobs has been a solid competitor all season in both Shot Put and Discus. He's even been a consistent face on our power rankings early in the season. Two weekends ago he swept the Shot and Discus at one of the biggest meets in Kentucky at Cooper/Borgia Invite.

Joseph Palmer

In the Triple, Joseph Palmer of Marion C Moore has been a mid to late season riser, but he's no stranger to the top of the leaderboards. As a future Kentucky Wildcat, he should feel right at home in a few weeks at the state meet. Palmer holds the state lead in the TJ with his 48-0.5 mark at the Male All-Comers.

Romahn Masimenko

One of the newest names to the top of the state leaderboards is Tate's Creek Romahn Masimenko. As a senior, before last weekend his PR was 6-5 in the High Jump which he set TWO weeks ago in his first of two meets so far this year. The next weekend he jumped to the top of the boards to win the Bronco Classic and set a new PR.

Angel Lee

Like Jacobs, North Hardin's Angel Lee has been a steady face at the top of the leaderboards in the state, her 44-4 Shot Put at the Lake Cumberland Classic was a PR and solidified herself as the top Shot Putter in the state just like she did last year winning her event at state meet. Although she hasn't PR'd in the Discus this year, she's been knocking on the door. Keep an eye out for Lee this championship season.
