Chrys Jones wins NCAA D3 National Triple Jump Title, Morton 4^th

 

Former Mercer County jumper Chrys Jones won his first collegiate national title at the NCAA Division III National Championship over the weekend for Centre College.  His winning leap of 50-03.75 came in the first round of the competition.  Jones is the Kentucky High School Overall State Record holder in the Triple Jump. 

 

Former Bryan Station jumper Stephen Morton currently at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology finished fourth in the same competition with a leap of 49-07.75.  He also placed 9^th in the Long Jump with a leap of 22-06.50.
