KYtrackXC.com Athletes of the Week
In an effort to honor the top track and field performers from Kentucky, KYtrackXC.com will have a weekly set of Athletes of the Week. There will be Middle School, High School, and College awardees. Former Kentucky High School Track and Field athletes currently running in college are eligible for the College award, even if he or she attends a school out-of-state.
High School
Girls
Kendall, a senior at Owensboro won the Discus and Shot Put at the Region 1 AAA Championship. This is not shocking as she is the two time defending Class AAA State Champion, but what was impressive was the bomb she threw in the Shot Put Saturday. She launched a throw of 44-07.50 a new career best.

Nichols, a freshman at Henry Clay set two new personal best times this week. First at the Central Kentucky Conference Meet on Monday he ran a time of 48.02 which currently ranks #1 among freshman in the nation. He followed that up with a win in the 200m (new best 22.25) and 400m at the Region 6 AAA Championship.
College
