In an effort to honor the top track and field performers from Kentucky, KYtrackXC.com will have a weekly set of Athletes of the Week. There will be Middle School, High School, and College awardees. FormerKentuckyHigh School Track and Field athletes currently running in college are eligible for the College award, even if he or she attends a school out-of-state.
Emma Brink finished off her sophomore Indoor Track campaign with a bang finished 5th in the One Mile Run at Nike Indoor Nationals in Boston.She ran a new personal best time of 4:55.12 to earn All-American Honors.
The St. Xavier Distance Medley team ran a 10:38.11 at Nike Indoor Nationals Saturday in Boston.They finished 20th overall and their time hit the MileSplit US First Team Elite Standard.Pretty good for an event that Kentucky does not run normally.
