KYtrackXC.com Athletes of the Week
In an effort to honor the top track and field performers from Kentucky, KYtrackXC.com will have a weekly set of Athletes of the Week. There will be Middle School, High School, and College awardees. Former Kentucky High School Track and Field athletes currently running in college are eligible for the College award, even if he or she attends a school out-of-state.
High School
Boys
Brandon Bagley – John Hardin
Bagley, a junior, has put quite a few miles on his family vehicle this winter. He competed in his third different state Saturday at the KTC Indoor Track Classic in Johnson City, Tennessee. He won his preminlary heat of the 60 Meter Hurdles in 8.46 and came back to finish fourth overall with a 8.48.
Girls
Courtney Siefert – Lloyd Memorial
Siefert, a junior, has been running this winter with the Northern Kentucky Track Club. She competed Saturday at the Bishop Hartley Invitational in Columbus, Ohio. She finished second in the 3200 Meter Run with a 12:25.48.

College
Women
Sharika Smith – Western Kentucky University
This Fulton County graduate has already engrained herself into the Western Kentucky University records books only four meets into her young college career. At the Middle Tennessee Classic Saturday she finished second in the 200m Dash, Triple Jump and Long Jump. She set a new career best in the Long Jump with a leap of 18-09.50. She currently ranks Top Five in five different events in the Sun Belt Conference.
Men
Guy Vandermosten – Bellarmine University
This Conner graduate finished ran two career best times at the Engineer Invitational Saturday. He finished third in the One Mile Run with a 4:31.51 and ninth in the 3000 Meter Run with a time of 9:10.33.
