LOUISVILLE, Ky. The Spalding track and field team is proud to announce the commitment of distance runners, Brandonn Hulse and Megan Ward to its 2015-16 roster.
Brandon Hulse, who hails from nearby Eastern High School will add depth to Spalding's already competitive men's distance and middle distance programs. Personal bests for Hulse include 54.5 in the 400m, 2:03 in the 800m, and 17:45 in the 5k. Men's and women's head coach Bradley Sowder stated, “I had the pleasure to work with Brandonn his freshman and sophomore years in high school and have seen first-hand the hard work he possesses. When I began recruiting this incoming class, he was the very first student-athlete I contacted."
Megan Ward will come to Spalding from Buford High School in Buford, Georgia. With personal bests of 1:03 in the 400m, 2:26 in the 800m, and 20:02 in the 5k, she will look to make an immediate impact on Spalding's quickly developing women's team. Coach Sowder added, “Megan Ward has an enormous amount of talent and upside to her. She is what the program is looking for; very strong, with natural ability, and is self-driven."
