KYtrackXC.com: What were your goals coming into the season?

TD: My main goals coming into the season were to get my times as close to the 15s as I could and to be able to keep up with the best runners in the state. My team goal was to be ranked in the top 3 and to be able to hold it up till November.

KYtrackXC.com: Have your goals changed now that we are 1 month into the season?

TD: My goals have not changed much at all after one-month. I still need to drop my times and we need to maintain our top 3 ranking.

KYtrackXC.com: Thoughts on the season so far?

TD: So far, the season couldn't be any better. Most of the team haven’t had a target on our backs since most of us ran for Burns so it’s very exciting. Our team is looking better and better each and every week.

KYtrackXC.com: At which colleges are you looking to possibly to run at next year?

TD: So far, I've considered running for WKU, NKU, Centre, and Kentucky. I have yet to decide where I want to go.

KYtrackXC.com: Describe Apollo as a team.

TD: Apollo is a very strong, focused, and determined team that wants nothing but the best. The team knows that there is a time to have fun, goof around and a time to get focused. The guys on the team are very fun to be around. We have more than 10 seniors leaving this year and a very strong lower class that is very promising in the next couple of years. I don't think anybody can ask for a better team.

KYtrackXC.com: You and Landon Taylor have been battling it out this season. How has this competition kept you motivated?

TD: Landon has definitely kept me on my toes this year. It's a really cool thing that there are about 5 runners in Owensboro that are ranked in the top 20 (not even including No.1 Willie Polio in boys AA) that will always be able to push you and Landon has done it in every race. Landon and all the other strong competition such as my twin bro Todd, J.House and Willie will make the Owensboro City/County Meet a very fun and competitive race.
