Henry Clay junior Jaron Brooks has won a national title in the High Jump at New Balance Indoor Nationals. He cleared 6-11.50 as did his final opponent, but Brooks won based on prior misses.
The junior has busted on the national scene this year after having a best of 6-04 in 2014. He cleared a PR of 7-01 at the UK High School Invitational in February to claim the #1 height in the nation. He also became the first Kentucky high school athlete to go over 7-00 EVER.
