Collins sophomore Gabby Karas finished 9th overall at Foot Locker Nationals today in San Diego, California. She ran a 17:56 to finish as the 2nd sophomore in the field. Her 9th place is the highest finish by a female from Kentucky since Donna Combs was 4th overall in 1984.
This is the 2nd year in a row Gabby has qualified and ran at Foot Locker Nationals. She was 25th last year with a 18:13. The multi-time state champion and Kentucky XC State holder ran the fastest time in Kentucky history with a 16:53 at Foot Locker South.
