Bishop Brossart has a commanding 48-22 lead over Frankfort after Day One's action at the Boys Class A State Meet. St. Henry, Newport Central Catholic, Bishop Brossart, and Fulton County are at the top of the leader board in girls team action.
Troy Cooper, Zach Schmidt and Matt Hansman each have victories to lead the way for Bishop Brossart. The Brossart 3200 Relay came in second to St. Henry.
Bardstown senior Michael Seaman broke the Class A Pole Vault record of 14-06 with a vault of 14-07. Seaman has signed to vault for the University of Tennessee next year.
The St. Henry girls track team led off the Class A meet with a victory in the 3200 Relay.
Sharika Smith from Fulton County won the girls long jump title.
