Event of the Day
The Boys 800m Run should be a close race from start to finish. Three runners have shown they are the best of the best this season: Oldham County sophomore Joe Mallek, duPont Manual senior Jon Erickson, and John Hardin junior Aundreas Lopez. This trio ran in the same race at the North Hardin Invitational with Mallek running a best time of 1:55.87. None of them are running in the 1600, so all should be fresh coming into the 800m Run which sets up a fast race. Six other runners have gone under the elusive 2:00 mark in Class AAA this season.

Record With A Chance to Fall
There are potential records that could fall during the Class AAA meet. But the push for the team title will be more important than any one individual putting his name permanently in the record book. That being said, there is definitely a possibility of a record going down.
Team Title Contenders
Male looks like the leading contender to take home the team title trophy Saturday. They have balance in the sprints, hurdles, relays, and field events. St. Xavier, led by senior Brian Long in the distance events, and Henderson County, led by hurdler Jesse Gillham and 400m runner Kris Hawkins, will look to stop Male.
