What was your most memorable meet or race?
2013 State Track Meet.  I broke our 40+ year old school record.

Out of all your high school accomplishments, which stands out the most?
Winning the First Annual Bill Nault Memorial Track & Field Scholar Athlete Award.  He was a great man and coach and to receive that award was an honor and a privilege that means a lot to me.
If you could do it all over again, is there anything you would change?
Being on a more successful team.  I have had individual success but there is nothing like being a contributor to a team and having people to share it with successes with.
What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?
Not having the right poles.  I was Constantly searching for poles to jump on.
What will you miss the most?
All of the people that I have met and competed in across the state.  It is different in track and field.  Everybody for the most part wants to see their competitors have success.  Especially in the vault.
Do you have any advice for younger athletes?
Make sure you get the job done in the classroom.  I know it s cliche, but one day you will have to rely on something besides your athleticism.  This being said enjoy your high school career.  Work hard.  Put in that extra mile to make sure that you end your career on your terms.  Have no ragrets.  Not even on letter.
What are your college/career plans?
Biology and Psychology Double major at U of L.  Pre- Med.  I want to be an orthopedic surgeon to help all the masters athletes.  ( Paul Huzyak)  He will definitely need it soon.  50 years of vaulting off and on is rough on a guy.
Who would you like to thank?
First off I would like to thank my dad.  He was at almost every one of my track meets and there is no way I would be where I am today without him.

My track Coaches.  Especially Kevin Ferguson.  He gives so much time and energy to the Henderson County pole vaulters.  He's a competitor and he pushed me every time I stepped onto the runway.

Kytrackxc.  You guys don't get enough credit for the late nights and effort that you put into keeping us up to date with what is going on in the track world!!
