What was your most memorable meet or race?

My most memorable race running for Campbell county would definately have to be this year at region when it was pouring down rain and once the rain stopped I was running the 400. It was a memorable meet for sure but this race dropped my time a second and a half, which actually qualified me as the tenth man for the state meet.

Out of all your high school accomplishments, which stands out the most?
The accomplishment that stands out the most would have to be my junior year of track when our 4x100 team broke our school record and I got to go to state my first year running.

If you could do it all over again, is there anything you would change?
If I could do it over again I would change by pushing myself a lot more. I would of ran all years of high school besides just my junior and senior year. I would of probably even ran cross country as well to make me even better. So in general, I would've ran more.

What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?

The most difficult obstacle I had to overcome would probably be this years hamstring injury I had early. I really strained it during my second 100m race and i really had to rest for weeks. It was hard waiting to go back in. But I was very fortunate I recovered as the weather got warmer. Also as a team it was hard for us to perform at our best because of the weather and lack of meets we had this season.

What will you miss the most?
I will miss being with everyone that became my family through the years. I will miss having the team bonding and stretches we had for sure, as we had a lot of fun times. This year also having state at UK was another great memory. The bus rides were a great time.

Do you have any advice for younger athletes?
Advice for younger athletes is to stay focused and believe in yourself. I noticed I got a little lazy at the end of the season and I realized if I would've just stayed focused and kept believing that It could've even boosted my possibilities up even more.

What are your college/career plans?
My career of choice is serving the United States Army as a bridge engineer. I am set for a three year enlistment. I also would love to run while I'm in. I feel like I have a lot of potential left and it would be really cool experience.

Who would you like to thank?
I would like to thank God for being with me through everything. Barely making the cut for qualifying for state was a great blessing and it made a lot of memories. Also I would like to thank my coaches for pushing me and keeping me upbeat and motivated to conquer game plans and goals. Lastly I would like to thank my parents for being at as many meets as they could and volunteering to help out with the team. Track season had great memories and I will never forget them. Thanks to everyone, I love you all.
