  • High Jump 4-8
  • Long Jump 17-0.5
  • Triple Jump 36-9.5

What was your most memorable meet or race?
My most memorable meets were the 2014 3A state track meets where I won both the indoor and outdoor triple jump titles.

Out of all your high school accomplishments, which stands out the most?
I think the fact that I was able to balance a job, track, and my schoolwork and still keep a GPA over 4.0 is one of my best accomplishments.

If you could do it all over again, is there anything you would change?
I honestly don't think I would change anything. My coach put me in all the events he knew I could succeed in, I made amazing friends, and I won a state championship. Everything was a lesson learned, so I regret nothing, and I would not change one thing.

What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?
Up until my junior year, I participated in club soccer at the same time as track. It was tiresome and difficult to manage my time with two time-consuming sports, and I was not able to put the right amount of time into either sport.

What will you miss the most?
I'll miss my coaches and track family. Granted, I probably spent more time with them than my own family during track season. I will miss our pasta parties and the long lasting friendships. I'm going to miss my Madison Central track family because I've never met a better behaved, hard working group of people.

Do you have any advice for younger athletes?
The best advice I've heard is from one of my coaches is to not live in your successes, nor dwell in your failures. Focus on the present task at hand, and just try your hardest. Bad days will happen, and you just have to learn to accept them and move on. And ALWAYS give 110% because you won't achieve anything without hard work.

What are your college/career plans?
I'm attending Lindsey Wilson College in the fall where I plan to major in psychology and run track. I later will attend graduate school for the psychiatry field.

Who would you like to thank?
I would like to thank all my coaches who have ever put time into my training. My coaches, Robert LaDeur and Adam Reid have helped me polish my jump technique, pushed me to train and work hard, and be a great person overall. Coach LaDeur helped me achieve my track scholarship from Lindsey Wilson College, as well. I would also like to thank my parents for putting so much time and money into my desires and supporting me with all my decisions.
