Q- What was your most memorable meet or race?

A- The most memorable meet that I competed in this year was The Tyson Gay Invitational. It was at this meet that I was able to set the meet record for triple jump, and had the pleasure to converse with Olympian, Tyson Gay.

Q-Out of all your high school accomplishments, which stands out the most?

A- Out of all of my high school accomplishments, the two that stand out the most are scoring over 1600 career basketball points and breaking our school triple jump record.

Q- If you could do it all over again, is there anything you would change?

A- If I could do it all over again, I would not change anything. I was extremely fortunate as a student and  as an athlete in my high school career, and had a wonderful experience.

Q-What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?

A- The most difficult obstacle that I had to overcome in my high school career was managing my time between track & field and basketball.  These are two sports that I am extremely passionate about.

Q- What will you miss the most?

A- I will miss the outstanding coaches who pushed me to become the athlete that I am today. I will also miss my teammates who not only supported me as teammates, but friends. It is because of my coaches and teammates that I learned what it truly means to be a leader in academics and athletics.

Q- Do you have any advice for younger athletes?

A- My advice to young athletes is to set goals. Do not be afraid to aim high. It is through failure that we learn and grow. In order to succeed you have to be able to transform failure and disappointment into drive, and use that drive to become successful. Stay motivated, have fun, and remember that you get out what you put in.

Q- What are your college/career plans?

A- My college plans are to attend Eastern Kentucky University, where I will compete in track & field. I will be majoring in criminal justice and I eventually plan to attend law school.

Q- Who would you like to thank?

A- I would like to first and foremost  thank God. I would also like to thank my parents, family, friends, teammates, coaches, teachers, and especially my high school track & field coach, Mr. Mark Pressley. Without these people, I would not have been able to accomplish the goals that I set for myself.  They have been my biggest supporters, and for that I am eternally grateful.
