I am pleased to announce what I hope to be a very informative and fun evening here at Campbellsville University on February 22nd. A couple of months back, my dad (Tony Rowe), was anticipating the release of his newly-published book about cross-country entitled Trails, Trials and Triumphs. I mentioned to him the possibility about coming and doing a book signing. Originally, it was scheduled to be something what of a mini-clinic and book signing. Upon further thought, we thought it best to include other great coaches and individuals for this evening and do a coaches' forum (question and answer session) in addition to the signing. The following are our plans for the evening:
-A coaches' forum similar to the one held at the KTCCCA clinic in early January. This will be interactive and include whatever questions you may want to ask. I am asking those wanting to come to bring with them their questions in advance to ensure the discussion goes smoothly and efficiently. I will be moderating the discussion and will take up your questions prior to the start.
-The panel will include:
*Tony Rowe: Head Boy's XC and Track Coach at Daviess County High School (2004 National High School Coaches Association Boys XC Coach of the Year)
*Will Hodges: Head Boy's and Girl's XC and Track Coach at Green County High School (Several Regional titles in XC, guided two individuals to state track titles)
*Rob Bowers: Principal at Pulaski County High School and former Head XC and Track Coach at Warren East HS (Inducted to the KTCCCA Hall of Fame in 2001)
-Following the forum, Tony Rowe will have copies of his book for purchasing and signing. The cost of the book is $14.00.
-The event will take place at the Winters Dining Hall on the Campbellsville University campus. We will begin the forum at 7pm EST. For those interested, you may eat supper before the event starts in the Dining Hall for $6.75 per person.
I am asking that each person interested in coming please email me back or call (270)302-3282. The room that we are using seats 50, but we will able to seat more if necessary.
Please invite your athletes/parents, etc. This should prove to be a great event!
God bless you!
